If tariffs are implemented...

Polar Feet has been making the coziest socks around for 21 years come April. During that time we've established a great community of customers all over North America, and specifically many many thousands in the US. Some of you have written to express your support and sympathy for our predicament, and it definitely, as they say, warms the cockles of my heart. (Even though no one seems to know exactly what "cockles" are--they are glowing.) Thank you so much!
But these tariffs—if and when they come into effect—are not going to make the coming year easy for any of us.
If you’re in the US and these tariffs are enforced, you will have to pay up to 25% on the value of your order upon delivery. The tariff will probably be collected at your door (although we are working on a way to make it possible to pay at checkout). I've read that one of the reasons the government hit pause on the tariff is to allow US Customs time to create the infrastructure to handle the additional processing these orders will require.
Please understand that we will not be able to give refunds or accept returns for orders if they are refused because there is duty owing. We just cannot afford it--it's going to be a very tough year as it is.
One last thing to keep in mind is that all that additional processing may also mean that delivery will take longer than we're used to.
In the meantime...for now...it is business as usual. Fingers and toes crossed that some agreement can be reached that will put an end to this.
So stock up now, and stay warm out there! And again...THANK YOU!
Warmest regards,
Lisa Falconer
